Sarah Salah

Research interests: Environmental security in MENA, US-Arab relations, humanitarianism and development, refugees and migration movements
Sarah received her bachelors from the University of Richmond where she majored in biology and Global Studies with a concentration in Middle East politics. During her time as an undergraduate, Sarah conducted research in different fields gaining various analytical skills. She received a grant to conduct molecular biology research on regulating plant tumor growth and worked on multiple projects using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to analyze and investigate the fragmentation of Palestinian territories. She has also previously interned at Arab Center in Washington D.C. and AMIDEAST in Lebanon. At CCAS, Sarah aims to further contribute to environmental security research in the MENA region, a biodiversity hotspot. Outside of academia, Sarah enjoys reading, running, and exploring new cafes around DC.
