Julia graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University where she majored in Middle East Studies and minored in Arabic Studies. She is passionate about analysis of the ways in which people in conflict uphold narratives that seek to justify their actions in addition to the ways in which already marginalized groups are particularly affected during and after such conflicts. She has had the opportunity to intern with the Embassy of Jordan, and has studied both Modern Standard Arabic and Levantine Arabic for three years.
