Research interests: Refugee access to sexual health resources and education
Elizabeth (they/she) is relocating from Portland, OR, after a second year of national service with AmeriCorps as the VISTA Leader for the Oregon Health Authority AmeriCorps VISTA Partnership Project. During 2020 she traveled the U.S. serving with projects that ranged from vaccination sites to hurricane relief. They graduated with a BA from The George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs with a focus in Contemporary Cultures and Societies and a minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Her research interests have revolved primary around sexual and reproductive health. During an internship with the Center for Positive Sexuality she researched the representation of religion in sexually explicit materials and during a semester in Rabat, Morocco studied Moroccan youth’s experience with sexual education. Elizabeth hopes to use this degree to pursue a career in international development as a foreign service officer with USAID.
