Research interests: U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, Human Rights and Law, Migration, Displacement, and Humanitarian Emergencies in the GCC
Ashley graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University in May of 2023 with Honors in the Major and obtained a double major in Middle Eastern Studies and Criminology. Ashley successfully defended her thesis this past year on Human Trafficking in the GCC. In the summer of 2022, Ashley interned with the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations where she learned the importance of collaboration between the U.S. and the MENA region. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Ashley was an Executive Board member of the End It Movement organization at Florida State University where she worked to bring awareness to human trafficking in the U.S. Ashley’s experience with this organization and her thesis research has led her to aspire to grow her knowledge in migration, displacement and humanitarian emergencies in the MENA region. In the MAAS program at Georgetown University, Ashley aspires to utilize her passion and expand her knowledge in historical and cultural topics in the MENA region. Ashley is also eager to achieve her goal towards becoming proficient in the Arabic language.
