Asa Breuss-Burgess
Class 2025
Asa completed his BA at the University of Oxford where he received a First Class degree in History and Politics. He joins Georgetown keen to deepen his understanding of MENA international relations, especially through the application of new theoretical insights to geopolitical dynamics. His undergraduate thesis employed constructivist and institutionalist IR theory to reassess the role of international organisations in the Suez Crisis. As part of CCAS, Asa is excited to explore more nexuses of interdisciplinary scholarship that better interpret future developments in the MENA region. He hopes these insights will help to develop fairer and more effective Western policymaking there. Born and bred in London, Asa spends most of his free time either arguing about football or complaining about the weather. He is also a keen photographer.
