Ahmed graduated from Al Azhar University in Gaza with a BA in English Literature and from the Islamic University in Gaza with a Graduate Professional Diploma in Translation.
Ahmed has +15 years of experience working in cultural and developmental NGOs in Palestine where he assumed several advanced positions in a number of prestigious cultural organizations in Palestine.
Throughout his long career in the cultural sector, Ahmed has placed great emphasis on designing and experimenting with practical capacity building programs for children and adolescents through employing a comprehensive learning approach that aims to build capacities and focuses equally on developing skills, knowledge as well as attitudes and perspectives.
Through joining the MAAS program, Ahmed aspires to explore the important intersections between diverse fields such as translation, literature, culture, history, social sciences and how to invest theses interconnections to better understand the Arab world’s needs and hopefully contribute to its renaissance.
