Hussain Alenaizi
Visiting Researcher
I am from Kuwait and hold a PhD in Education, which I obtained from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2017. My research interests focus specifically on Disability Studies. Currently, I am a visiting scholar at Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS), where I explore the experiences of disabled Arab immigrants and refugees resettled in the United States.
I have several publications on disability within the Kuwaiti context. My research interests span multiple dimensions of disability, including medical, physical, psychological, social, cultural, political, and socioeconomic aspects. I primarily conduct participatory qualitative research, where participants are actively engaged in the research process as co-researchers.
