Amina Darabie is a writer and filmmaker, focused on holistic representations of Arab identity in global media. Her academic journey began at Michigan State University, where she received her B.A. in interdisciplinary social sciences, examining cultural representations of the Middle East and India in study abroad programs.
She is passionate about facilitating cross cultural pollination, both in her work teaching qualitative research methods to undergraduate students abroad, and through her documentary films. Her research aims to explore the intersections of Arab identity to better understand marginalized experiences and political inequality. Amina's upcoming film tackles globalization, nostalgia, and imaginative futures of handicraft families in Rajasthan, India.
