We are pleased to congratulate CCAS Senior Director of Programs Dana Al Dairani on receiving the 2023 School of Foreign Service Staff Excellence Award recognizing her excellent work and many contributions to the Center and the School! The award honors SFS staff members who go above and beyond the duties of their positions and whose work has a lasting impact on the school. Dana received the SFS Staff Excellence Award for her leadership and innovation at CCAS, as well as her role in shepherding the school through a major and successful Department of Education grant application. “Dana is an incredible worker who combines initiative, hard work, and a long-term vision of what the center does or needs to do,” said CCAS Director Joseph Sassoon. “This recognition is absolutely well deserved.”
Dana joined CCAS in 2018 and has more than 15 years of professional experience in the field of educational development in Syria, Jordan, and in the Arab world more broadly. Dana holds a B.A. in English Literature from Damascus University, and both an M.A. in Arab Studies and an Executive MBA from Georgetown University. Dana was a 2014 John Smith Trust Rule of Law Fellow, and a recipient of the 2015 World of Difference Award from the International Alliance for Women.
Alf Mabrouk to Dana and the other recipients on this well-deserved honor!
