Meet the Shu Kaman? Production Team

Amina Darabie, Production Manager 
Amina is a second year MAAS student, documentary filmmaker, and the producer and editor of the Shu Kaman podcast. Her work develops participatory methodology in the social sciences. Amina’s current project centers belonging and identity amongst youth in Amman.

Hanane Idihoum, Co-Host
Hanane is a second-year MAAS student and new co-host of Shu Kaman. She’s currently writing her thesis on the organized recruitment of Amazigh men from the south of Morocco for cheap labor in the coal mines of France following World War II. Outside of school, Hanane loves to cook, go on walks, and work on documentary films.

Michel Sindaha, Co-Host 
Michel is a second year MAAS student and co-host of Shu Kaman. Michel is a writer on weekends and the rest of the week, he is a graduate student interested in the history and politics of Palestine and anti-colonialism

Layth Malhis, Operations Manager
Layth is a second-year MAAS student whose research centers on settler colonialism and Palestinian health. His work develops the concept of dehealthification, the systematic dismantling of healthcare under occupation, as a lens to understand Israel’s governance of life and death in Palestine. For Shu Kaman, he serves at the podcast manager, supporting with logistics, guest coordination and as the liaison with the faculty.”
