Druze Student Paper Prize

The Center of Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS) at Georgetown University is soliciting submissions for the annual Druze Student Paper Prize awarded for an exceptional submission of written academic work that focuses on the Druze. Both undergraduate and graduate students studying fields in the humanities and social sciences are eligible to submit. The awardee will receive a prize of $500, plus be featured on the CCAS website. This paper prize is made possible through a collaboration with the American Druze Foundation.

All papers for the 2027 contest must have been written as part of an academic program (undergraduate or graduate) between August 2, 2025 and May 31, 2027. Papers should be no longer than 7,000 words (not including notes and bibliography). The paper should include a cover page with the name of the professor and class for which the paper was written and email addresses for both the student and professor.

Submissions for the 2027 contest will open in January of 2027. The submission link will be posted on this page.
