Course Proposals
Interested in teaching in the Arab Studies program at Georgetown?
Each academic year, the Arab Studies program reviews proposals from colleagues interested in teaching a class in our program (i.e., one class taught as a part-time adjunct professor). The decision about whether to mount an adjunct course is primarily a curricular one (i.e. does this course fit our curricular needs?). In addition, we consider past teaching experience, research and our own budgetary situation from year to year.
Requirements
If you have a course you would like to propose, please submit a minimum of a one-page proposal that includes course description, goals, and potential readings. If you have a past syllabus that you could share, please upload that as well.
In addition to the course proposal, please submit the following:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Note: Please list previous teaching experience on CV - Past student evaluations of your teaching
- Other teaching evaluations and/or references
Please send this information to the CCAS Director of Graduate Studies, Prof. Rochelle Davis rad39@georgetown.edu.
Timeline
