Abigail Metcalf
Class of 2027
Abigail Metcalf graduated with a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Mississippi. She double majored in Arabic and International Studies with a focus on Global Economics and Business in the MENA region and minored in Disaster Sciences. As part of the Arabic Language Flagship program at the University of Mississippi, Abigail gained extensive experience abroad, spending two consecutive summers in Amman, Jordan, and a full year in Meknes, Morocco. While in Morocco, she worked with international organizations such as the Red Crescent Society and interned at the law office of Tawfiq Ben Chakroun, in addition to her language studies. Abigail successfully defended her undergraduate thesis on the role of music and identity in the Palestinian resistance movement.
At CCAS, Abigail hopes to continue her research on cultural resistance and its interaction with social media. While living in D.C., she looks forward to visiting the numerous museums the city has to offer.
