Research Interests: Ethnic & religious minorities in Arab states, oral history, politics of terrorism, refugee rights, disability & debility, Palestinian literature, imagery & discourse of martyrdom in Palestine, history & politics of tourism
Chloe graduated from Whitman College in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Classics & History (honors). After graduation, Chloe worked as a Research Assistant to Dr. Elyse Semerdjian on her most recent book project that explores the Armenian Genocide through lenses of gender, memory, and the body. In the spring/summer of 2022, Chloe stayed in a small refugee camp in Palestine, where she was a live-in volunteer. After returning from Palestine, she served as the AmeriCorps VISTA College Access & Success Coordinator at New Ventures Maine, a financial literacy and empowerment nonprofit in her home state of Maine.
After spending the last school year teaching at a boarding school in central VA, Chloe is thrilled to be back in the classroom as a student at MAAS.
