Hilary Rantisi is the executive director of the Institute for Palestine Studies in the US (IPS-USA). She brings more than two decades of experience in the fields of Palestinian and Middle Eastern Studies at the intersection of scholarship, public education, and institutional leadership. Prior to joining IPS‑USA, Hilary spent 24 years at Harvard University directing programs and establishing new spaces for rigorous inquiry and public understanding of Palestine and the broader North Africa/West Asia region. Alongside her academic leadership, she has held long-standing service roles with Palestinian cultural and educational organizations. She is known for steady, values‑anchored leadership that brings people together across disciplines, institutions, and communities. Her work centers narrative integrity, grounded scholarship, and the cultivation of relational ecosystems.
