Maeed Almarhabi

Dr. Maeed Almarhabi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Umm Al-Qura University. He holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Kent State University, where his dissertation examined cultural trauma and the formation of national identity in Palestinian American literature. His research interests include Arab American literature, identity, hybridity, transnationalism, migration, and cultural memory. His current book project examines the political thought of the Pen League writers and the role of this Mahjar literary group in the development of Arab nationalist thought in the early twentieth century.
