Siobhan Kelley graduated magna cum laude with honors from Davidson College, earning dual degrees in Arab studies and art history. Her academic and professional experiences have centered on the MENA region, including Arabic language study in Jordan and Tunisia, and a semester abroad studying migration policy in Morocco. At Davidson, her coursework spanned U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, political Islam, and gender politics, including advanced independent research analyzing U.S. media representations of female Muslim politicians. In addition to her studies, she has participated in internships with organizations that focus on migration, communications, national security, and international affairs across Rabat, Tunis, and Washington, D.C.
Siobhan is excited to continue her academic and professional journey as part of Georgetown’s MAAS community. She is particularly interested in how environmental challenges and gender politics shape diplomacy and conflict, building on her interdisciplinary academic background and language skills. Beyond the classroom, Siobhan looks forward to exploring D.C.’s rich and vibrant museum scene.
