CCAS adjunct instructors Bassam Haddad and Adel Iskander recently edited a new volume titled Mediating the Arab Uprisings (Tadween). The book is a collection of essays that examines the media’s engagement with the mass protests of the Arab uprisings. The volume includes academic works on the tribulations of covering Syria, the contextualization and demythologizing of Facebook activism, and the faltering of Al-Jazeera Arabic in the wake of the uprisings.
