Tim Edge graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University in 2008 with a BA in international affairs and a minor in history. As an undergrad, he spent a semester studying Islamic history and culture in Granada, Spain, and another semester studying Arabic and Middle Eastern politics at the American University of Cairo. He recently returned from a Critical Language Scholarship program in advanced Arabic in Tangier, Morocco.
Tim's research interests range from Arab Shiite political development in Iraq to Islamic reformist discourse and organization in Egypt. But he loves to study all aspects of the region—cultural, political, military, and economic—so feel free to discuss any or all of these topics with him.
After graduation, Tim plans to use his language skills and area knowledge as a political analyst in either the federal government or the private sector.
