Nadim Bawalsa

Nadim Bawalsa was born in Amman, Jordan, and received his B.A. in history with a concentration in psychology from the College of William and Mary in 2007.  He spent most of his life in the Middle East and graduated high school from Cairo American College in Cairo, Egypt.  In 2006, and with a grant awarded to him by the William and Mary Charles Center, he spent the summer researching Christian Palestinian emigration with the Sabeel Foundation in Jerusalem and the West Bank as well as with the Royal Institute for Interfaith Studies in Amman, Jordan.  In May 2007, he completed a senior honors thesis titled "Christian Palestinians: Emigration, the Occupation, and Political Islam," for which he received highest honors. After college, Nadim returned to Amman, Jordan for a year and taught IGCSE and IB English and history at a local private high school. During his two years at Georgetown, Nadim plans to concentrate in Middle Eastern history and culture/society.
