Ms. Kirk joined CCAS in March 2008, after having worked in editorial positions at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, Smithsonian magazine, and AARP The Magazine since 2003. Ms. Kirk has a B.A. in anthropology from Haverford College and an M.A. in cultural studies from Emory University, where she focused her research on Islamic and French colonial architecture in the city of Fès, Morocco. She is also pursuing an M.A. in creative nonfiction writing at Johns Hopkins University.
