Tarik Yousef, Labor Market Reforms, Growth and Unemployment in Labor-Exporting MENA Countries

Tarik Yousef is in the process of publishing several papers including “Labor Market Reforms, Growth and Unemployment in Labor-Exporting MENA Countries” in the Journal of Policy Modeling and “Public Infrastructure and Private Capital Formation in the Middle East and North Africa” in the World Bank Economic Review. His speaking engagements during the past semester included a series of talks at the  Mediterranean School of Business in Tunis in March; a presentation at the inauguration symposium for the SFS Qatar in April; and two seminars at the Center for Global Development in Washington in April and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in May. During the coming summer, Dr. Yousef will be focused on completing several projects on the economic history of Egypt in the 19th century covering the topics of de-industrialization, commodity market integration and labor migration.
