Tarik Yousef presented at recent conferences, including the Arab Strategy Forum in Dubai; the Economic Research Forum Annual Conference in Beirut; the Annual Meetings of the American Economic Association in Philadelphia; the Kuwait Institute for ScientificResearchConferenceontheFuture of the GCC Economies; the Arab Monetary Fund Conference on Arab Economic Integration in Abu Dhabi; and the Jeddah Economic Forum. At the invitation of the government of Bahrain, he lectured on the country’s planned labor market reform program at the University of Bahrain, the Economic Development Board, and the Supreme Council for Women. He has also given seminars at the IMF Institute, National Defense University, NATO Defense College, the American University in Sharjah, and the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies. Dr. Yosef’s most recent publications include “Development, Growth ournal of Economand Policy Reform in the Middle East and North Africa Since 1950” in the Journal of Economic Perspectives and “The Murabaha Syndrome in Islamic Finance: Law, Institutions and Politics” in The Politics of Islamic Finance.
