Jane Dammen McAuliffe has been busy publishing, serving as Dean of Georgetown College, as well as editing an encyclopedic volume on the Qur’an. Some titles include: McAuliffe, Jane Dammen, general editor. Encyclopaedia of the Qur’an, Volume Three, J-O. Leiden: Brill Publishers, 2003. “The Persistent Power of the Qur’ýan,” proceedings of the American Philosophical Society 147 (2003) 339-346; “The Prediction and Prefiguration of Muhammed,” in Bible and Qur‘an: Essays in Scriptural Intertextuality, edited by J. Reeves. Atlanta: Society of Biblical Literature, 2003. Last November, she delivered a lecture entitled, “Connections and Comparisons: Recent Studies in Trilateral Exegesis,” at the Society for Biblical Literature annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.
