Fadwa El Guindi, Visiting Professor

Fadwa El Guindi joined CCAS as Visiting Professor of Anthropology for this academic year (2004-2005) from the University of Southern California. Professor El Guindi is teaching two core classes this semester—MAAS 419 (Arab Society) and graduate seminar MAAS 503 (Anthropology of the Arab World). Her book Veil: Modesty, Privacy and Resistance is now in its 3rd printing. Her new book Visual Anthropology: Essential Method and Theory, published by Altamira Press, is due to appear in late Fall 2004.
