Several weeks ago, MBC-TV, a popular pan-Arab television channel, aired a segment about the growth of Arabic language study in the United States, specifically featuring an intermediate Arabic class at Georgetown. Nadia Bilbassy-Charters, senior U.S. correspondent for MBC-TV, with the help of second-year MAAS student Joseph Pearce, interviewed Professor Belkacem Baccouche and MAAS students Christopher Alkhoury and Andrew Bockover—in Arabic, of course.
