MAAS Student Publishes Piece on Gaza in French Newspaper

In his op ed, "Gaza, au risque de l'anarchie" (Gaza, at the risk of anarchy), Jean-Baptiste Gallopin outlines how Israel's Gaza offensive risks plunging the territory into prolonged chaos due to consequences such as an absence of central authority and the possibility of a renewed Palestinian civil war. Gallopin asserts that the operation is counterproductive in that it is in Israel's best interest to ensure that Hamas maintains control of Gaza in order to act as a partner in peace negotiations.
