Research Interests: Islamism, Commercialization of Mecca, Islam and Democracy

Sage graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2016, with a B.S. in Geospatial Science and Foreign Area Studies (Middle Eastern focus) with an Arabic minor.  His passion for the Arabic language and desire to better understand the intricacies of the Arab World was cultivated while at the Academy resulting primarily from several academic excursions to the region.  Upon graduation from Georgetown, Sage will attend coalition Euro-NATO pilot training in Texas and continue using Arabic throughout his career as a member of the Language Enabled Airman Program.  When not studying Arabic, Sage enjoys spending his time outdoors and practicing Arabic calligraphy.
