The Center for Contemporary Arab Studies is pleased to announce its new collaborative initiative with the Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development (QRF). The initiative aims to enhance access to high-quality educational opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa through Edraak, the first non-profit MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) platform in the Arab world. The CCAS will partner with Edraak to co-create courses that are relevant and responsive to the needs of the Arab world, especially with regard to disadvantaged populations. Creating such customized courses will give Arab learners access to university-level courses taught in Arabic and free of charge.
